This page contains a list of the currently adopted rules for Santa Barbara County. The APCD attempts to keep this section updated. However, there may be a delay of approximately thirty days between approval of a new or amended rule and its availability on this web page. To obtain information on rules that are being proposed for adoption or modification see Recent Happenings in APCD Rulemaking and the  Rule Adoption Schedule.

Regulations are broken down into a number of rules, each dealing with a specific topic. Many of the rules relate to a specific type of operation or source of pollution. These generally contain a statement of conditions under which the rule applies, definitions of terms, requirements of the rule, and allowances or exemptions. Individual rules may be accessed by clicking on their respective regulation headers below.
