Plains Exploration and Production Company - Point Pedernales Project/Lompoc Oil Fields

The Lompoc Oil and Gas Plant (LOGP) is located approximately 2.7 miles northeast of the city of Lompoc, CA and Platform Irene is located approximately four miles west of Point Pedernales. These two facilities have been operating since 1988.  The Lompoc Oil Field facilities are located approximately 2.5 miles north of the city of Lompoc. Oil and natural gas are produced by Platform Irene and the Lompoc Oil Field facilities, then sent by pipeline to the LOGP.  At the LOGP, natural gas and water are separated from the oil.  The facility treats the natural gas so it can be sold or used as fuel.  Oil is dehydrated then shipped to a refinery.
