Draft Federal Part 70 Permit for Wm. Bolthouse Farms, Inc. – Cuyama Stationary Source

The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) has issued a
draft federal Part 70 permit for the Wm. Bolthouse Farms, Inc. stationary source
operations located in Santa Barbara County. The farming operations addressed in
this draft permit are located in the northeastern corner of Santa Barbara County
along the Cuyama River bed. The Wm. Bolthouse Farms, Inc. - Cuyama Stationary
Source also includes contiguous properties in San Luis Obispo County, and is
considered a major source for emissions of nitrogen oxides.
Permitting Action
This action is for the initial issuance of the federal Part 70 permit for the
Wm. Bolthouse Farms, Inc. - Cuyama Stationary Source. Once issued by the APCD
and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the Part 70 permit will be
valid for three years. The permit will be enforceable by the USEPA and the
public. Public Comment Procedures Copies of the permit application, the draft
permit and support materials, are available for review from July 12, 2006 to
August 25, 2006 on this website on this page, and at the following location:

The APCD will hold a hearing for public comments on the draft permit at 4:00
p.m. on August 15, 2006 at the “Rec. Hall”, 4885 Primero Street, New Cuyama.
Comments can also be submitted in writing to the APCD at the address above
(Attn: Jim Menno). All written comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on August
25, 2006. Only the federally enforceable conditions in Sections 9.A through 9.C
of this permit are subject to public comment. Issues relevant to the Part 70
permit raised during the comment period will be addressed in writing by the APCD
as part of the final permit issuance. For more information or copies of the
